Radiation Safety Training
Our Radiation Safety Training Programs are directly oriented to the user and are based on Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) recommendations.
Basic Radiation Safety Training
Provides a comprehensive training regime that covers types of radiation, sources of radiation, uses, doses, dose rate, instrumentation and safe handling. Link to a (pdf) excerpt from a recent training session.
Specialized Radiation Training
For First Response and Hazmat teams. Training involves “hands-on” training using real scenarios and radionuclides to prepare teams for incidents/accidents involving sealed or open sources of radioactive material.
Hardware & Survey equipment training
Overwatch Inc. is the official trainer for EXPLORANIUM radiation detection equipment. Overwatch Inc. also offers training for a wide range of nuclear instrumentation.
ATC Tactical Training
Sterling Cross Defense Systems, in partnership with Arminius Tactical Center, is pleased to announce our advanced specialty training courses. Employing former members of military and police special-forces units, our capabilities are driven by the knowledge and expertise of our staff. The highest level of operational qualification ensures our service’s high standard.

Weapons Training
The aim of this training module is to provide professional instruction in the safe use of small arms and light weapons. In addition to weapons safety and handling basics, weapons training courses incorporate ammunition ballistics information and theoretical material. Theoretical instruction is delivered in a classroom setting through lectures and the use of various media. Practical exercises using weaponry and live ammunition are held at a controlled shooting area. This training module at ATC SiPro can also be completed separately.
Personal Security
The aim of this training module is to provide professional instruction to the protection and safety specialist/PPO. Furthermore, the course covers tactics in the protection and evacuation of principals from danger zones. The personal security course incorporates armored vehicle operation and defensive driving. Professional instruction in the operation of armoured vehicles as part of a convoy formation will be delivered subsequent to the initial segment of the training regime.
Tactical Operations
Our tactical operations program is intended for military operators, security and peacekeeping forces deploying to hostile environments, top tier domestic police forces and personal bodyguards. The course focuses primarily on team-based operational tactics allowing security forces to further enhance their collective operational efficacy.
Self-Defense
The self-defense program is a two-week training module focusing on the basics of close quarters and hand-to-hand combat. This module is directed towards military and law enforcement units.
